The Mr. Sun's Work Notes

Personal background

About Me

Our lives are like processes in an operating system: daily activities are the threads, running on round-robin scheduling in the queue com.sunyazhou.self.queue.serial. I sum up my learning journey as a lonely thread — always executing serially: English, Math, all sorts of things.... To record what is easily forgotten, I created The Mr. Sun’s Work Notes — an open-source toolbox of sorts, to revisit often and to share with those who need it.

I’m Sun Yazhou, from Harbin, the Ice City of northern China. I’ve long been an iOS application developer with a stint in macOS development — the field I’m best at among all my skills.

🏔️ My Hometown — Suihua

On the vast Songnen Plain, where a single centimeter of fertile black soil takes four hundred years to form.

Nature

The towering Korean pine forests along the winding Xiao Hinggan Mountains: Korean pine

The Hulan River, flowing endlessly for a thousand years, immortalized by writer Xiao Hong: Hulan River

Farmers transplanting rice seedlings under the spring sky merging with water; rows of plump fresh corn waiting in summer; soybeans rattling, rice bowing, and fragrant fields in autumn; the solemn reverence for heaven and earth in the bitter winter snow.

Notable Figures

FigureIntroduction
Lin FengA principal leader of the December 9th Anti-Japanese National Salvation Movement

Culture

Shadow puppetry, where one performer plays emperors and generals with both hands; paper-cutting art, where deft hands scatter affection across the fertile land; woodblock prints, where knife winds sweep the board and the subtle fragrance of rice lingers.

Never be someone who lives here a lifetime yet knows little of its culture and history. Keep walking the path our predecessors left behind.

📝 Why I Blog

Blogging grew out of the evolution of how I store knowledge:

Stack → Heap → References → Keyword Index → Blog

At first my brain was an empty stack, pushing knowledge in until stack overflow; switching to heap storage, I ran out of memory; then I tried reference-tag storage, until my browser tabs multiplied like a virus; finally I kept only keywords to search with, only to find many articles had been deleted by their authors. Meanwhile I had my own technical experience worth sharing, so I decided to start this blog.

Even if my views are full of narrow theories and naive arguments, I’ll keep doing it, knowing today is right where yesterday was wrong. Otherwise I’d regret the wasted years and be ashamed of accomplishing nothing.

Blogging keeps me calm and focused on my own field, away from restlessness. I share technology and life occasionally, without obsessing over quality — after all, I also need to spend time working and living well.
