The Birth of "The Sunyazhou Theory"

Preface

Due to my weak foundational knowledge, what I’ve achieved is limited to some facts I’ve learned and observed, and has not yet been elevated to a theoretical doctrine.

The Lesser-Known “The Sunyazhou Theory”

For a country to develop, it must start with improving productivity. Technology is so far the only powerful tool humanity has discovered to solve productivity problems. So I divide productivity into three stages:

  1. Liberating productivity
  2. Improving productivity
  3. Breaking through productivity

I call it 《孙亚洲理论》 (The Sunyazhou Theory). No authoritative journal has published it yet.

Verifying the Theory

The objective fact that this theory proves is that developing countries must go through the following stages of development:

  1. Small-scale manufacturing of usable goods
  2. Optimizing and improving craftsmanship with assembly-line operations
  3. Being phased out and replaced by new products

So living in the present, whether in school or at work, technical personnel have a far greater advantage than ordinary personnel, because it validates my theoretical doctrine—engaging in professions that improve productivity.

I hope that years from now, when people bring up this principle, they’ll think: ah, this is the lesser-known “The Sunyazhou Theory.”

Summary

When going home for the New Year, someone always asks about how high the salary is working in Beijing and so on. I just briefly expressed my views and, half-jokingly, formed my own theoretical doctrine.
